The “It is Written” is a series of courses designed to do just that. We are diligently dissecting the Word in digestible bites. 

 

In this course, we will explore the book of Acts, as an emerging culture. The world was ruled by the Romans. The Jewish people had a subculture. But now, a new culture was emerging, and that was the culture of the kingdom that Jesus came to introduce. The culture of the kingdom comes with power. The culture of the kingdom comes with signs and wonders. Miracles are common in this culture, and the book of Acts shows us the reality of this culture.

We will explore the Early Church's DNA and see what was the attraction to this group that was forming. What caused the Thessalonians to declare, "Those that have turned the world upside down have come here too."

If the culture of the church looks different than the culture of the kingdom, then something is wrong with the church. Jesus didn't come to introduce a church, He came to restore the Kingdom.

In these eight weeks, we will explore the culture of the Kingdom and watch as that culture unfolded for the first century Christians. We will see that what was available to them is also available to us.
